Drift Boat Fishing Trips

Our heated 16' custom Willie driftboat will take you on a scenic and quiet drift down many of the streams on the Northern California coast.

There is nothing quite like the rod pulling down in a driftboat when a winter steelhead attacks a backtrolled plug.

Your guide, Paul LeFebvre, is an expert oarsman. Paul purchased his first driftboat in 1980 and has learned the ropes on every boatable stream on the Northern California coast.

From the Russian River near Santa Rosa to the Mattolle River on California's "Lost Coast".. You will fish for Salmon and Steelhead amid the best environments that California has to offer.

Picture yourself drifting the South Fork of the Eel River during February and March. This wild and un-damaged river..., flowing through the redwood trees..., is an experience unmatched in scenic beauty. Each year several Steelhead over 20# are hooked and released on the South Fork of the Eel.

Along about late October the Smith River turns on for King Salmon fishing. This magnificent, wild, pristine river that flows through the Redwood country sports 60# Salmon a few of which are landed each year.

Fluctuating water conditions in the coastal streams resulting from the passage of winter storm systems, creates a challenge to select top quality fishing locations.

At Osprey River Guide Service we specialize in putting you on the right river at the right time and at the right water level. Or, if you want use our services on a river of your choice, we are glad to present the best tackle and guidance available.
