Jet Boat Fishing Trips
In October of 2004 we took delivery of our 2005 21' North River Commander in Coos Bay, Oregon. This jetboat literally treated us to a wide open Silver Salmon bite on the Rogue River on the way home.
It turns out you don't have to fly to Alaska or Canada to battle the mighty King Salmon. The Sacramento and Klamath River systems in Northern California are host to large runs of King Salmon that surpasses many Canadian and Alaskan Rivers.
Summer marks the beginning of the fall runs of King Salmon in Northern California. The larger rivers have relatively early migrating "runs" of fish whereas the Smith River, and other coastal streams such as the Eel River, turn on after the first rains.
Sacramento River salmon average 15-30 lb. with the occasional 30 - 40 lb. fish. Numerous 40-60 lb. fish are caught every year. The Klamath River is a close second while the Feather and Smith Rivers simply cannot be ignored either.
Since the fall of 2004 we have been guiding on the Klamath, Feather, and Sacramento Rivers in our jetboat while also establishing "guide points" such as Salmon King Lodge of Red Bluff.
By aligning our services with Salmon King Lodge of Red Bluff we can focus on providing our clients with the best lodging and fishing packages available on the Sacramento River. When staying at the lodge your guided trip will be focused between Redding and Chico - one of the most beautiful and productive sections of the Sacramento River.
Please click on the special link above to learn more about the lodge and our hosts Julie and Bill Divens.
Depending on the time of the year you may find us at the Klamath Camper Corral on site waiting for you to arrive at the newly renovated Ravenwood Motel to fish one of the most legendary and scenic streams in the Pacific Northwest. With King Salmon and summer steelhead to occupy your day, you will enjoy gorgeous scenery and observe deer, eagles, osprey, bear, and otters while waiting for that big fish to grab your lure.
